Schools in Prayagraj Go Solar
In Uttar Pradesh, the education sector is stepping into the solar era. The district of Prayagraj is installing rooftop solar panels on all government, aided, and private schools. This initiative is expected to cut electricity costs by up to 70%, promote sustainability, and create awareness about clean energy among students. Registrations for the scheme are open through the official portal.
Chandigarh Focuses on Residential Solar Adoption
The Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society (CREST) has intensified efforts to promote rooftop solar installations in residential areas. Through awareness campaigns and department-level coordination, CREST is encouraging both traditional ownership and the Resco model, where residents can opt for solar without any upfront investment.
