Mumbai, June 25, 2025: The School Education Department of Maharashtra has officially released the merit list for the interview-based teacher recruitment process under the Pavitra Portal. This step marks the beginning of the second phase of the recruitment process for 8556 vacant teaching positions across various educational levels.
Phase-Wise Recruitment Progress
The recruitment is based on the Teacher Eligibility and Intelligence Test-2022. In the first phase, 21,678 posts were filled, followed by the second phase which completed the recruitment for non-interview-based posts. Now, the focus is on the recruitment that involves interviews and teaching skill assessments.
Interview and Teaching Skills – 30 Marks Assessment
According to the Government Resolution dated February 7, 2019, interviews and teaching skills are evaluated out of 30 marks. To ensure uniformity and transparency across institutions, a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was finalized through the resolution dated August 6, 2024. This SOP standardizes how institutions assess eligible candidates.
Merit List Highlights
- 8556 vacant posts under 1861 managements are included in this round.
- 12966 candidates have been shortlisted based on their preferences.
- A total of 71802 preferences have been considered during recommendation.
- 177 posts under 81 institutions were canceled due to administrative reasons, and hence no interviews will be conducted for these positions.
High Court Guidelines Applied
This merit list has been released in compliance with the directives issued in various petitions by the Hon’ble High Court.
Instructions for Shortlisted Candidates
- Candidates must contact the respective educational institutions for interview and teaching skills assessment.
- All detailed instructions are available on the recruitment portal and must be strictly followed by the institutions.
- Malpractices during the selection process are strictly prohibited.
Grievance Redressal Mechanism
If any candidate has objections regarding the selection, they can send their appeal to pavitra2022grcc@gmail.com within 10 days of the merit list publication. The appeal must be submitted in the prescribed format along with valid supporting documents.
- Only individual candidates are allowed to send complaints. Group emails and emails from organizations will be ignored.
- Appeals received after the deadline will not be considered.
- No personal contact with any official via mobile or other means is allowed regarding the grievance.
